Halite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Solno Mine, Inowrocław, Inowrocław County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.6 × 5.8 × 6.7 cm
Description

The crystal is developed as floater, faces are all lustrous and it is water-clear. Clarity is better in person, because on photos reflections on backside more look like inclusions – but there are no inclusions at all, it is barely flawless. The faces show an interesting texture, which reminds a little bit to fluorite from Emilio Mine. One area at one corner backside has no room to grow and so it developed tiny steps. A smaller inter grown cube is also present. I guess I don´t have to mention the color under UV-light! Very eye-catching, undamaged specimen in fine quality.
