Fluorite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Rogerley Mine, Frosterley, Weardale, County Durham, United Kingdom
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
10.1 × 6.2 × 3.5 cm
Description

Typical for this only still productive mine in Northern England, which only does specimen-mining. The crystals are of fine clarity, they show sharp termination and fine daylight fluorescence. Under artificial light it appears in dark green color, but as you can see on my photography it switches to royal blue under daylight. Very nice contrast to matrix, crystals are on high quality and there are no significent damages!
