Selenite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.4 × 5.2 × 5.2 cm
Description

The specimen is developed as floater, also the bottom consists of end-pointed crystals. The assemble is very fragile, crystals only stick together near to bottom. All of them are highly lustrous and sharp terminated. At the top they are colorless and waterclear, down to the base they became dark, nearly black. Great contrast, very nice and asethetic visual impact! Selenite from locality is rare and hard to obtain, and this one is not only rare, it is also beautiful! Undamaged.
