Brandberg, Dâures, Erongo Region, Namibia
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.1 × 0.2 × 2.1 cm
Description

The specimen is formed like a tree, Opal developed inter grown spheres – all are lustrous and the specimen looks very aesthetic in each angle. I use no light effects, backlit or anything else for this shot. The specimen is like in person, color is 100% natural. It is spectacular – neon blue-green and even of high translucency. Undamaged and well formed all around, only bottom was extracted from the rock. If it was colorless it would remind to Hyalite from Valec, CZ concerning assemble and habit. One detail: there are thin needle-like crystals in the center of Opal, seems Opal grows on it. I don´t know what mineral it is. You can see it on the left hand side of the specimen on my photo – seems very interesting. Overall very beautiful and really an eye-catcher (caused by color). Assemble is more tridimensional and more aesthetic in person.
