Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Brixlegg, Kufstein District, Tyrol, Austria
Size Range:
Museum (18cm plus)
Size:
18.5 × 15.5 × 2.5 cm
Description

A crazy specimen. A plate of cyan-green spheres of Aragonite (copper-bearing) from classic, historic mining area. I show one photo of backside - you can see black "matrix" - that´s coal! Aragonite is a very fast growing mineral, so I guess it grows propably inside a mine on coal after a fire. Unfortunately I have any further informations about the origin of this specimen, but that is really unique - never see something like this before. Also I have to say that colour, assemble and dimension are very impressive. Undamaged.
