Description

More about the exact locality and history of the specimen: It was mined in 1975, shaft 12, Stefanie Mine, Konradi vein, Bleiberg Dist. The specimen is very good for Bleiberg. Most specimen show significent damages, not so here - in excellent condition damage-wise. On the front side most crystals are glossy, backside they show a satiny layer. The colour is more orange than typically yellow. Most specimen are only plates of intergrown crystals, such a nice contrast is really aesthetic and remarkable for the locality. Bleiberg is closed since decades, no more material is coming out, it is the most famous locality in Europe for wulfenite and good material is very hard to obtain.
