Locality:
Rieding Lake, Weißeck, Murwinkel, Tamsweg District, Salzburg, Austria
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
12.8 × 7.6 × 7.8 cm
Description

The specimen was mined in the third cavern of the summit cleft 2650 meters above sea-level near peak elevation in the south slope of the mountain. The discovery of the summit cleft is described in Mineralogical Records, July issue 2010. The specimen is uncommon, most times the backside was on the rock, not so here - it is also well developed backside. Only a small area at the bottom was on the rock. Also the internal colour is very beautiful and the dimension of the crystals is very impressive. No significant damages to report.
