Description

A striking matrix specimen from the Marienschacht in Wölsendorf, Germany. The host rock is covered with dozens of quartz crystal tips that display vivid blood-red inclusions caused by hematite — also known as “Eisenkiesel.” Interspersed among the quartz are numerous golden-orange cubic fluorite crystals, providing a vivid contrast and completing the composition. A textbook example of this classic mineral association from Germany.
