Topaz & Quartz

Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Schneckenstein, Kielberg, Klingenthal, Vogtland, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.2 × 2.6 × 2.1 cm
Description

The light yellow main crystal is 12 mm tall. It shows a very attractive texture, like you can see on my close-up photo in the galery. Topaz from this famous classic locality is generally very rare and hard to obtain, but this one is even more special - the topaz crystals are not just on matrix - they are resting on glossy well shaped quartz crystals.
