Description

Red-brown, highly lustrous, complex vesuvianite crystals up to 5 mm across on matrix well known Italian Alpine locality Bellecombe, Val d´Aosta, associated with silvery thin clinochlore plates up to 3 mm across. The color is rather unusual for vesuvianite, resembling strongly grossular garnets.
