Description

Two intersecting prismatic rutile crystals are set on an aggregate of dark green amphibole crystals. In normal daylight the rutile crystals show an intense metallic luster, in artifical light, however, they exhibit the typical rutile-brown colour.

The specimen is from the collection of the famous Swedish mineralogist Harry von Eckermann († 1969, the mineral Eckermannite is named after him) and is followed by an original label bonded in a cardboard box.
