Description

Thulite is the „National Stone of Norway“ and has been used as gemstone and for the manufacturing of gemstone products since many years. There a several different occurences of thulite in Norway, each with its specific characteristics.

A specimen of quite pure quartz from the classic thulite occurence at Leksvik hosts a small cavity with crystals of thulite, the main one measuring about 0.8 cm – an absolute rarity, as crystals of thulite are extremly rare to observe!
