Description

According to mindat Snarumite is probably an iron free variety of gedrite, an orthorhombic amphibole and closely related to anthophyllite. Here we have an aggregate of several parallel, fan-shaped grown crystals.

The specimen is from the collection of the famous Swedish mineralogist Harry von Eckermann († 1969, the mineral Eckermannite is named after him) and is followed by an original label bonded in a cardboard box.
