Description

An approx. 2.5 x 2.5 cm vug within a fine grained epidote-rock is filled with some lustrous, well formed epidote crystals, one with excellent top faces and 1.3 cm in size.

The specimen is followed by a handwritten label from the 19th (or even 18th ?) century in old german language, difficult to decipher, describing the pristmatic crystal form and the top faces of the epidote („thallite“/„pistacite“) crystals.
