This is a large and very rich example of norbergite from a quarry known for exceptionally brightly fluorescent specimens of this mineral. It is a very heavy specimen – and therefore expensive to ship. But if you like spectacular and unusual fluorescents, I think it will be worth it. Note: To my eye, the UV response seems deeper yellow than what is shown in the photos. (It is very difficult to get proper color balance on UV photos.)

Outside the US, it will be sent in a large “safe” box with shipping weight about 38 oz. Probably this item could be sent in a smaller box with shipping weight 32 oz for about $2.50 less. But there would be less packing protection. While the specimen is massive – there are no delicate crystals to break – conceivably it could split into smaller fragments along calcite cleavage planes if there is very rough handling. I think that is a remote possibility, but I have priced the postage according to the larger, more padded box. If you prefer the smaller box, just let me know and I will adjust the invoice (or issue a refund for the difference).
