Description

Here is a very rare specimen of bright yellow phurcalite micro crystals growing in acicular tufts, with metatorbernite micro crystal plates and some minor brochantite, on a sandstone matrix.

From the Posey Mine in the USA, famous for its rare phurcalite specimens.

Despite the large size of this piece, the radioactivity is relatively minor.

This is a particularly good size and quality for a very rare mineral specimen.
