Description

A drusy gossan matrix is hosting several mm-sized, lustrous gold wires and a part of a black ferberite (or maybe sphalerite?) crystal. Interesting and rarely available material, from an old collection (+/- 1980's).

With W-Sn-Bi-Au ore being mined all the way to the peak at 5,600 meters above sea level, Chorolque is one of the highest metal mines in the world (cit. mindat).

The indicated weight includes the glass socket.
