Description

Ore specimen consisting of grey willemite between franklinite-rich areas, together with pinkish red garnet.
The specimen shows intensive green fluorescence of the willemite under SW UV.

Comes with two antique labels and on-glued corresponding number sticker from the former collection of metallurgical plant director Dr. O. Schmidt, Bergisch-Gladbach, Germany. He deaceased 1923 or 1924, the collection (appr. 1200 specimens) was sold to the city of Bergisch-Gladbach in 1925, used as teaching resources in a secondary school then.
