Description

Blocky crystals of wolframite are frozen in cream-colored quartz, associated with minor galena (see pic 3). Rare material from classic Neudorf, Harz mountains mining area.

Comes with on-glued sticker plus nice antique label.

The Glücksstern mine was ancient lead-silver mine on the Neudorf-Straßberg vein system ('Neudorf-Straßberger Gangzug'). Geographically and historically-administratively it belongs to Neudorf, not Straßberg (cit. Mindat).
