Description

Set of 8 single phenakite crystals in a test glass with cork stopper. The crystals have a button-like shape, lustrous faces and are mostly water-clear (in the pictures they look duller than they are).
Very rare material from old finds (before 1900). These little gems from classic Rio Piracicaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil show a really unique form and habit compared to other localities.

Comes with nice old Dr. F. Krantz pen and ink label dated around or before 1902. Background: In June 1901, due to passing of some resolutions in the context of a reform of german orthography, the spelling of german "Contor" (branch office) was altered to "Kontor".

Size & weight is given for the test glass incl. content. The size of the single crystals varies between 10 and 14 mm.
