Description

Five single ruby crystals from Bysowa village on the shores of Embarka river, appr. 400 kms N of Ekaterinburg. The locality is very old and described for example in "Corundum - Its Occurence, Distribution, Exploitation, and Uses" by A. E. Barlow 1915 (Canada Dept. of Mines).

The size is given for the largest xl in pics 4-6, the others are 1.0-1.2 cm in length. Comes with a newer Krantz label dated to the 70's or 80's.
