Description

Bright orange-red, transparent villiaumite crystals in two geodes from famous Aris Phonolite quarries; some of world best villiaumite crystals have been found here. Accompanied by tiny black needles of aegirine.The color is indeed that striking orange. The large crystal group (22 mm size on longest edge) in the geode on the top has some cleavage faces, whilst the small geode in the center hosts a perfect, more reddish octahedron of appr. 2 mm.

Nice contrast to the grey matrix, good villiaumites are increasingly hard to get. The backside is sawn.
