Description

Turnerite is a variety of monazite-(Ce), with golden yellow to brownish yellow, wedge-shaped crystals. This specimen features a minute monazite var turnerite crystal associated with quartz and adularia, tiny anatase crystals are also present.

Comes with antique printed label of the Mineralien-Niederlage (mineral repository) Freiberg, Saxony, Germany. Founded in 1756, it is now part of the mining college Freiberg.
The label is hand-written by Felix Otto Edelmann, who was administrator in the period 1920 - 1952.
