Description

One of the rare rounded pyrites from this famous location in austria. The pyrite shows a slightly elongated spherical shape of 3.3 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm size and is absolutely pristine. It shows a very nice moving, golden metallic luster when shifted in the light. Compared to other pyrite specimens from this locality, the pyrite crystals are a little bit bigger and more distinctive.
Most of this specimen have been collected from 1960 - 1965. They where grown in "Seewerkalk".
I have acquired this specimen from an old collector in Dornbirn, Austria some years ago.
