Description

White, rhombohedral ankerite crystals on a matrix of massive ankerite (or calcite). The ankerite crystals have an unusual blue iridescence, comparable to the scandinavian or canadian labradorites, difficult to catch on a picture. Addidionally, they show an intensive pink fluorescence in shortwave UV; the matrix does not fluoresce.

An uncommon specimen from classic Tsumeb mines.
