Description

An excellent specimen for this classic location: Transparent analcime crystals with glassy luster from the type locality. The crystals are to be found in small geodes of so-called "analcimite" rock (a rock occurring in the Cyclades, it was originally probably a nephelite-syenite but is now altered).
Usually the crystals are filling nearly the whole vug so that only a few faces are visible, but on this specimen the vug was big enough to allow well-developed individual crystals.

Comes with beautiful old Dr. F. Krantz pen and ink label written 1892-1900.
