Description

Specimen featuring minute blue crystals of scorodite and green cubes of pharmacosiderite (german "Würfelerz") in small fissures. A rare historic specimen from classic Schwarzenberg mining area, Saxony, Germany.

Comes with a beautiful old label of the K.S. (Königlich-Sächsische) bergacademische Mineralien-Niederlage zu Freiberg, (Royal saxon mineral repository, Freiberg), in the handwriting of director Carl Buchwald dated 1835-1844. partly in old german script. The label means: "Würfelerz & Skorodit auf Schwefelkies von Schwarzenberg in Sachsen" (Pharmacosiderite and scorodite on pyrite from Schwarzenberg in Saxony).

A second old label is also included.
