Description

A group of blueish-black, razor-sharp anatase crystals is perched on a mica schist rock with silvery luster. In strong light, the crystals show some dark blue reflections. The size of the crystals (16 mm for the whole group) is quite large for the species. No quartz crystals are associated which seems to be rare.

The norwegian anatases are considered the world's best. From older finds in the 50's - 70's, but unfortunately no old label supplied. Comes with the original old box where is was mounted with putty since decades (remainders of putty on the specimen were carefully removed).
