Description

Typical australian precious opal with vibrant opalescence mainly in reds and greens with a little blue color, best seen in pic 8. Better in person because its impossible to get the original sparkle of colors on the picture.

Comes with very beautiful antique label in old german script. The label means: "Neu Süd Wales Australien - Edler Opal in eisenschüssigem Sandstein" (New South Wales Australia - Precious opal in iron-bearing sandstone). Possibly from Lightning Ridge, Finch Co., New South Wales, Australia.

The base is sawn.
