Description

The specimen features a little vug lined with minute, acicular  malachite crystals and a crystalline gold speck between the malachite. Very beautiful under a loupe. The matrix is massive ore with portions of chalcopyrite (see pics 6&7)

The locality was once an important historic gold mining area, located just north of the Kluidscharte at an alt. between 2460-2490 m. Mining started as early as in the 17th century.
