Numerous stibnite crystals with bright metallic luster are frozen in gangue matrix rock.

Comes with antique on-glued sticker. Michelsberg (czech "Michalovy Hory") is a classic bohemian location, not common on the shows but mentioned in old literature, for example "Jahrbuch der kaiserlich-königlichen geologischen Reichs-Anstalt, Wien, XXIV. Band. 1874". The first mining in the area took place as early as 1100.

Well documented is the most prosperous era in 16th and 17th century (silver mining). Mining was stopped due to the Thirty years war in the 17th century. In the beginning of 18th century were some mines for copper and silver rebuilt but without greater success (mine Neu Glück mit Freunden). The mined ore was sphalerite, argentite, galenite. In 1750 the mining was stopped again. In the 19th cent. again mines were worked for nickel, cobalt and lead, but again stopped due to poor results in 1887. In the beginning of the 20th century up to 1925 was the mining unsuccessfully re-started. The last material mined was baryte from 1937 to 1939. The last mineral exploration in the region (1958 - 1959) did not lead to a working phase (cit. mindat).
