Carnegieite is a rare high-temperature variety of feldspar, member of the Feldspathoid Group. The can contains seven single crystal fragments of carnegieite, with clear to translucent cores and brown coating. Size is given for an avarage crystal.

A rare sample from Linosa Island, Italy. It is a small volcanic island of 5.4 square kilometres, situated south of Sicily and west of Malta. See interesting, detailed description of the history on mindat.

Comes with old Russell Filer ("Filers") label dated 1956-1970.
