Description

Steenstrupine is a very rare, complex Ce-bearing silicate. The specimen hosts black, striated crystals of aegirine frozen in a matrix mostly consisting of black, amorphous steenstrupine.

Rare material from Greenland, comes with a newer Krantz label.

Slightly radioactive due to content of U, Th and rare earth elements (appr. 1.8 micro Sv/h within spitting distance).
