Description

A slab with both sides polished, hosting bright yellow gold, in-grown in dark grey quartzite rock. From the famous Witwatersrand gold mining area in South Africa.

Despite it is one of the world largest gold producers, gold specimens from South Africa are scarce on the markets. Modern security regulations prevent specimens and samples from leaving the mines without being crushed for gold extraction. This specimen is originally from old Dr. Krantz stock, unfortunately no old label added.
