Description

Fine old specimen consisting of metallic gray maucherite (an uncommon nickel arsenide found in nickel-cobalt arsenide veins) and rose-colored nickeline (german synonym "Rotnickelkies").
From the type locality of maucherite, the Mansfeld Basin, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
Minor pitchblende / uraninite is present, the specimen is very slight radioactive (appr. 0,50 micro Sv/h within spitting distance).

Comes with old stamp-like, printed label of the Mineralien-Niederlage (mineral repository) Freiberg, Saxony, Germany, dated to the 50's or 60's.
