Description

Massive brown dolomite (or ankerite) hosting in-grown acicular bismuthinite crystals and black, micaeous hematite. From Tasna mine, a still active mine working several W-Bi veins, more than 4000 m above sea level.

Comes with old Prof. Luigi Puecher Passavalli (Bologna) label. Passavalli was born in 1910 and died in the 70's. He was from a wealthy family originating in Trentino, Italy and was placed in charge of mineralogy, geology, botany, zoology and entomology at the State Agricultural and Technical School in Florence, Italy, in 1930. This label is published in the Biographical Archive of the Mineralogical Record.
