Description

A single tourmaline crystal with beautiful colors: Red core with green cortex (so-called "watermelon"), with color change to green and blue right on top.

Comes with old Comptoir Géologique et Minéralogique label dated late 19th century and on-glued corresponding number sticker. Henri Minod established the Comptoir Minéralogique et Géologique de Genève ("Mineralogical and Geological dealership of Geneva") in the 1890s. The Comptoir Minéralogique et Géologique Suisse of Grebel, Wendler & Cie. ultimately absorbed the Comptoir Minéralogique et Géologique de Genève of Henry Minod in 1903.
