Description

Earthy agregate of pale green annabergite covering massive nickelskutterudite and possibly other Ni ores. "Chloantite" is a german synonym for nickelskutterudite. A fine and interesting historic ore specimen.

Comes with nice old pen and ink label. As early as 1872 Bernard Stürtz (1845-1928) had established himself as a mineral dealer in Bonn am Rhein, in a dealership that had been founded by his wife in 1866.
Stürtz was proprietor of what he called his Mineralogisches und palaeontologisches Comptoir ("Mineralogical and paleontological office"), dealing in "minerals, meteorites, rocks, ores, fossils, models, scientific instruments and preparations". He stock was bought out by Dr. A. Krantz very likely in the 1920's. Dobšiná belonged to the austro-hungarian empire until WW I.
