Description

Quartz rock hosting some small gold specks and pyrite which is mostly altered to limonite, parly showing the original cubic forms.

From old Dr. Krantz stock, comes with copy of the (disrupted) old label - as oftenly, there was a box containig several specimens but only one old label.
I was not really successful in investigation of the exact locality.
I would read the mine as 'Johner Mine, Mhodesin'. Salisbury is the old name for todays capital of Zimbabwe, Harare - the Mashonaland Central province is situated north of Harare.
Unlike Maria mine (situated between N’danyazan and Munda in Bulawayo District, not listed in Mindat), absolutely no reference in the www can be found.
