Description

A purplish mass of chromian clinochlore var kaemmererite on chromite ore, accompanied by rough, green uvarovite garnet.

This is a very old historic specimen from Dr. Krantz stock dated to before mid-19th century. The canceled company's location "Berlin" at the bottom of the label gives a hint that the specimen dates back before the movement from Berlin to Bonn in 1850.
Also the printed locality was canceled and replaced by "Texas in Pennsylvanien" - which is indeed a locality for kaemmererite (and uvarovite as well).
