Description

This is an odd and - honestly spoken- doubtful specimen from old Dr. Krantz stock. I believe it is an artefact but I'm not definitly sure.
The "rock" is heavy, stable and quite hard (no clay or gypsum), there's some brown staining within the gold-bearing areas, and the cleavage faces have a strange, rounded, shell-like structure. One can see a quadrangular, more light area where likely a sticker was attached.
The gold is to be found only on one face, in form of thin leaves within small cavities.

However, an interesting historic sample. Comes with antique label dated 1900-1910.
