Description

This is a small gold nugget from a rare locality.
Rhine gold is well known, but is usually found at the upper rhine areas in Switzerland, or in Germany between the swiss border down to appr. the town of Karlsruhe.
Hamminkeln is a town situated much more down the rhine, near the dutch german/border, I have never heard about gold found that far north.

It was found in an active gravel pit, I purchased it directly from the finder.
