Description

The Glasberg quarry once supplied silver specimens in all shapes, from wires to dendrites and large sheets and also crystals.
This specimen consists of very fine silver wires, so-called "sponge-silver", with embedded white analcime crystals and some matrix attached on the backside. It is soft and a little bit crumbly.

Usually the silver from this location contains 5-10% mercury, so it can also be seen as kongsbergite.
