Description

Single, sharp dark grey hausmannite crystals with stepped faces on a brecciated, heavy matrix consisting of white baryte and brownish andradite garnets. Specimen like these are quite rare because one seldom sees isolated hausmannite crystals on a larger matrix.

Comes with Marcus Grossmann label, a german mineral dealer, dated to the 1990's.
