Description

A nice oldie from the well-known classic french location Chessy-les-mines which is also the type locality: An azurite ("Chessylite") floater consisting of many stepped crystals forming a rosette. The color is deep blue, covered by some small malachite balls, small white calcites and a light brown mineral, probably cerrussite. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is an excellent example of a classic form and species. Hard to get in this size nowadays....
