Description

A superb piece for so many reasons! The specimen consists of chalcopyrite of excellent quality with epitaxial galena with excellent luster and included by pyrite. This needs explanation. The pyrite crystals are in cavities formed on the chalcopyrite crystals. One would say this is not an inclusion, but broken crystals from the same locality show pyrite content, so this is inclusion, not just growing in a cavity! It's the opacity that prevents us from noticing the included crystals! The piece is a visually pristine floater and there are quartz points on the back and sphalerite crystals, small, but also of top quality!Bulgaria has produced the best sulphides in the world and this is the highest quality in terms of luster and crystals form, plus it's mineralogicaly important!
