I know Galena from Bulgaria sound common and although it's the best in the world, the pieces are never fully appreciated! Galena of this quality was rare in any age of the mining area and even in good times only 10 to 5 percent of the pieces where that good!Please note than Bulgaria now produces less and lower quality than those times!The piece is really superb,with a dominant crystal on top of display, with sharp edges and mirror luster!This luster is one of the main values of those special pieces, that sets them apart!The crystal has skeletal form and it can be displayed all around, since every view is both aesthetic and interesting!If this isn't enough, the crystals has epitaxial chalcopyrite crystals in it!The phaenomenon is unique and the chalcopyrite enters the galena and vice versa!There is even a pyrite crystal in a cavity of the chalcopyrite, under a loop!The piece is totally perfect, only contacted on the bottom!Keeping those in mind, please compare it with other Bulgarian and other galena pieces from all over the world.Then you can judge and fully value this high end piece!Ex K.
