Description

Extremelly high quality miniature of pyrite from one of the top three localities for the species. The piece has a large dominant crystal on middle top of display and several others forming a matrix! The crystals have so many top quality features: the crystals are textbook modifed octahedra-one of the rarest forms of pyrite, only common for this locality, the luster is maximum, literally clean mirror, they are skeletal, something rare for the species for any locality-please distinguish from modified forms, here the surface is skeletal and the growth interfeared by epitaxial tetrahedrite!!!-the crystals, especially the main one, are complete with many faces visible, not just barried in the matrix! The piece is perfect all around and only contacted at the bottom. This is really a superb pyrite specimen and you will be pressed to find an equal in details of quality!
