Description
Locality:
Zinc Corporation Mine, Broken Hill, Yancowinna County, New South Wales, Australia
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.5 × 4.5 × 4 cm
Description

Bustamite is rarely found in good terminated crystals! This piece, out of the collection of Wally Kennewell, with an old label, hosts terminated crystals up to 2 cm in a beautiful mess of dozens of crystals of bustamite and galena! The piece is viewable all around, though it's hard to say its a floater, since all the galena crystals are cleaved. All but one!!!This is something you rarely see from the locality, but one crystal of galena is actually terminated!I can guarantee this can be easily trimmed into a smaller piece, but I left it as it is,since it comes from an old collection. This is a very large piece for the species, normally only small miniatures and thumbnails are available...when they are...Superb!
