Azurite & Malachite Psm Gypsum On Goethite Psm Calcite

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Agios Konstantinos, Lavrion District, Attiki Prefecture, Greece
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7 × 6.5 × 3 cm
Description

One of the best pieces out of a small find from Laurion mines, this piece is a multiple pseudomorphosis of malachite after azurite, azurite after gypsum and goethite after calcite. The piece is not only scientifically important, but also a large and aesthetic specimen without damage. I've seen only 15 pieces and I'm not sure more exist.
